M3-M5-M6-M8-M10.  That's the line up in progression.  The M8 Mk-3 is value for money if you don't want to go crazy and for those who are already CRAZY then the M10-Mk-2 is awesome.

    Hello,

The M1000 Mk-2 is Kondo Audio Note  ( Japan ) two box pre amp where as the Audio Note (UK) M10-MK-2 is a three box pre amp.  They both are their reference line stage pre amplfiers.

I have compared the two and the M10-Mk-2 sounds better to my ears plus the price difference is huge.  Hope this helps.

The M7 is infact the KSL-M7 from Audio Note ( Kondo ) Japan and not from Audio Note (UK).

The new Evo series of krell's are so different to the older versions.  They are much more dynamic, resolution, more speed, blacker back-ground, detail and more musical.  The extension of frequencies from the high's to the low's are truely world class.  One must have the combination of Evo-1/ Evo-2 to sound their best.  I've tried using the Krell Evo-202 with the Evo-1 and the result in comparision is night and day.  Ofcourse, the whole system's synergy plays a big role in the final sound.

The Ev0-1/ Evo-2 combination to my ears is world class as far as solid state amplification goes.  They like to be driven hard to get the best out of them so pair them with similar type of speakers is a must.
